VIEW/ERS

Are we in front of art or are we in front of each other?
The museum is the meeting place for art and people, the artworks are there to be observed. But could the observation be turned into an art itself? Could it make us face each other?
By working with typical ways of being in the museum space and looking at the behaviour of the visitors, the exhibition performance view/ers brings local communities and art lovers into familiar museums.

The interdisciplinary artist and choreographer Jianan Qu challenges the possible roles of being a viewer, establishes a reflective atmosphere and turns the museum space into a live platform.

The result of the process will be a performative action in the museum space implemented through collaborative work involving local communities.

OUTCOMES AND IMPACT OF THE PROJECT

During the collaboration between Jianan Qu, the Ludwig Museum and Pro Progressione not only contemporary dance will be highlighted.
